Our vision, mission, and corporate philosophy
Our vision, mission, and corporate philosophy are what we are all about. Our bottom line: we're about people helping people.
The Vision
Water and Power Community Credit Union will be a premier financial partner with all members and involved in the community it serves.
The Mission
Water and Power Community Credit Union, as a friendly financial service provider, is dedicated to helping members build a secure financial future by providing quality products while excelling at member service and education.
Our Corporate Philosophy
Teamwork
We believe in teamwork whereby each and every staff member provides assistance and support to project teams, work groups, and internal customers with promptness, accuracy and courtesy.
Quality
We believe in quality. Quality is a way of life. It is something that each and every staff member remembers while performing their duties day-in and day-out, from start to finish. Quality is a never-ending process whereby we can identify failures today as potential improvements tomorrow. Quality must have standards and must be periodically measured in terms of courtesy, accuracy and responsiveness (speed).
Retailing
We believe that retailing financial services is a natural and beneficial way to serve the member. As retailers, we make every effort to maximize sales and service opportunities with members. Employees are empowered to meet expected and unexpected members' needs on the spot.
Trust and Participation
We believe that each and every staff member is capable of providing the highest quality service to the membership. Each employee is trusted to do what is necessary to do so. Staff are encouraged to participate in the operations of the organization whether it be individually, in work groups, or on project teams.
Member Organization
We believe that each and every employee and volunteer has the mandate to respond to member requests no matter what their position in the organization. We all hold the title of member service representative. Our organizational positions are of secondary importance.
Service Enterprise
We believe that each and every service center, committee, and project team is to be organized and operated as if it were virtually a stand-alone business enterprise providing service. Such an operating environment encourages and cultivates teamwork, quality, member orientation, internal customer support, and active selling.
