 Planning for a wedding and honeymoon can be one of the most expensive activities for couples. Some brides and grooms to-be may be reluctant to ask for cash from their friends and relatives. To help bridge the gap, WPCCU offers a wedding cash gift registry account called MatriMoney. The MatriMoney account (AKA: Special Purpose Savings Account) provides a way for engaged couples to request cash instead of a wedding gift.
MatriMoney is a special, interest-bearing savings account that wedding guests, friends, and family can make contribution.

| The MatriMoney interest rate of 1% will be limited to the first $5,000 deposited into the account. Balances greater than $5,000 will earn the prevailing dividend rate of the main share account. |
How It Works
- Couples about to be married may open a MatriMoney account with as little as $50.
- Account comes with MatriMoney invitation announcements, wallet-sized cards that explain the program to wedding and/or bridal shower guests.
- Wedding guests, family, and friends can make a gift deposit at any WPCCU branch location or by mail.
- Loved ones who make deposits to a MatriMoney account will receive a "Congratulations" card that they can send to the bride and groom as an acknowledgment.
- Sending thank you notes is easy - once the wedding date has passed, the couple receives an account statement with a list of contributors.
- One withdrawal is allowed per quarter without a fee. You will be charged a $10 fee for each subsequent withdrawal made within the same quarter.

If sending a deposit by mail, please do the following:
- Make the checks payable to the MatriMoney account holders.
- In the memo line write: MatriMoney Deposit.
- If you have the account number, please include it on the memo line as well.
- Please send checks only. Do no send cash.
