Carl E. Stewart is President and CEO of Water and Power Community Credit Union and its affiliates. His career includes holding the following positions in financial institutions: Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at WPCCU, Manager of Research and Information at California Credit Union League (CCUL), and Assistant Vice President of First Interstate Bank of California.

Carl Stewart currently serves as chairman of several credit union associations such as the CCUL Renaissance Task Force, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Financial Services Centers Cooperative, and Chairman of the Board of the Credit Union Service Centers network.  He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) during 1999 and 2000, and Co-chair of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions' Capitalization Committee. He has been involved as a fundraiser of the downtown Ketchum YMCA in Los Angeles, and is currently a board member of Community Mortgage Funding, LLC, the credit union's service organization.

Stewart's educational and professional credentials include: Master of Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management, University of California at Los Angeles, in accounting and finance; Bachelor of Science from California State University of Long Beach in economics. Carl's professional credentials include a NASD/NYSE Securities Representative, with licenses in Series 7 and 63. In addition, he has a license as a California Life and Property Insurance Agent.
